KVDM elder law attorney, Kathleen C. Moriarty, Esq., was re-elected president of Somebody C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Inc. for 2017, marking her third term leading the Whiting, N.J.-based non-profit organization.
The C.A.R.E.S. acronym stands for “Crestwood Assistance Referral and Essential Services.” The Somebody C.A.R.E.S. Foundation was established to financially support Somebody C.A.R.E.S., Inc.–a private, non-profit and non-sectarian organization founded in 1977–through asset management and protection. The volunteer group is dedicated to serving the quality of life needs of Whiting community residents through various initiatives including:
- Dial-A-Ride transportation services
- Medical equipment distribution
- Community outreach
- Food pantry offerings
- Informational programs
- Post-hospitalization programs
- Legal services
- Money management services
